Surveys


Hale Saunders provides three different types of residential survey:

Mortgage/Standard Valuation

The purpose of this is to provide an opinion of the market value of a property if sold. The valuation will take account of relevant factors affecting condition and aspects of construction which are clearly visible on a walk-round inspection. Costs from £150 including VAT

Homebuyer Survey & Valuation (HSV)

This is a more in-depth report described by the RICS as, "giving factual information on significant aspects of the condition of the property, usually a home, to the prospective purchaser." The Survey provides a market valuation and rebuilding valuation whilst identifying any defects considered urgent or of significant importance. Costs from £250 including VAT

Building Survey.

This is much more detailed than a Homebuyers Survey and will usually give a valuation of the property. We will advise on the structural stability of the building, reference to visible defects, together with recommendations for remedial works. A photographic appendix is also attached.
